M50 Toll

Drivers of all vehicles using the section of the M50 between Junction 6 (N3 Blanchardstown) and Junction 7 (N4 Lucan) are liable to pay a toll.

How much is the Toll?

Cars cost €3.80. Passenger vehicles with seating for more than 8 people cost €4.80
Tolls must be paid by 8pm on the day following the journey. Failure to pay a toll will result in the following charges.

• Not paid by 8pm on the following day: Toll + €4.00 penalty.
• Not paid by 8pm within the next 14 days: Toll + €50.00 penalty.
• Not paid within a further 56 days: Toll + €50 late penalty + €125 fine and legal action may follow. 

All unpaid tolls and violation charges relating to car hire vehicles will be referred by the authorities to Budget who will process payment through customer's credit cards. Budget will not accept liability for violation charges arising from unpaid tolls and these will be included in charges passed on to customers. An administration fee may also apply.

• By telephone using a credit card at LoCall 1890 50 10 50 or +800 50 10 50 11 (outside Ireland)
• By cash at Payzone branded outlets nationwide.
• Use the Payzone Agent Finder to find the most convenient outlet for you

• 'The Kiosk' - there are two located in the main airport building, one in Departures and one in Arrivals
• Esso Service Station in the Airport Complex
• Texaco Service Station at Nevinstown (near Swords)

On your return journey to the car rental drop-off location please allow sufficient time to make your toll payment.

Please Note:

Renters who made crossings of the m50 Barrier Free Toll in their vehicles in January should continue to pay eFlow directly for tolls related to journeys taken in January via eFlow.ie or at Payzone outlets. Crossings on the same rental taken in February will be automatically charged 3 days after the rental ends.
 

Rentals crossing the m50 Barrier Free Toll on or after February 1st

Starting February 1st, 2025, we will introduce a new automated toll payment process. 

Customers will no longer need to pay for tolls on eFlow.ie or at Payzone stations, as all our vehicles will be registered with eFlow for automatic payment processing. Toll charges will be automatically billed to the customer’s payment card three days after the rental period ends. 

• The toll cost is €3.80 for cars and €4.80 for vans. Additionally, a €1.00 processing fee applies per crossing.
• Customers picking up in Northern Ireland will be charged a GBP equivalent for the toll and a £1.00 processing fee.
• Receipts/invoices can be requested by contacting us here
• This process covers the M50 only. Customers should pay at the Toll booth on all other roads.
